There are thousands of Skin Care products available on the market, and Mandalyn Academy realizes that when a graduate starts working in the industry, they may not be familiar with a product line they are asked to use. Because we want our graduates to be comfortable working with any product line, and because we know the importance of understanding product ingredients, we educate and train our students on how ingredients effect and benefit (or harm) the skin, no matter what product name they are in.
AYUR-MEDIC
BUT, Mandalyn Academy is privileged to have the ‘exclusive’ in retailing and training our students with AYUR-MEDIC Skin Care Products. Dr. Raj Kanodia, a world renowned plastic surgeon (featured on the TV show Dr. 90210), and Dr. Ezra Kest, a cosmetic Dermatologist – along with a team of research professionals with three decades of experience serving the salon/spa industry – together created the AYUR-MEDIC breakthrough product line. Featuring both the Ayurvedic herbs and proven anti-aging compounds, each product is uniquely formulated to maximally penetrate the skin, delivering all active ingredients with growth factors that help stimulate collagen synthesis. Chemical Peels
In the State of Utah, the standards allow for the use of stronger Chemical Peels than allowed in most other states. Mandalyn Academy teaches what these standards are, and how to effectively and safely apply chemical peels within the scope of the law. We train our students with Lactic, Glycolic, Salicylic and Trichloroacetic acids and Jessner solution (all within Utah State standards of practice).

Manalyn Academy uses Chemical Peels from Glymed plus with additional training using PCA, Image, and other professional product lines carrying chemical peels.

Mandalyn Academy uses O.P.I. because it is a company committed to the highest quality products, and to their student training. It has long been a leader within the Professional Beauty Industry and we are proud to be an O.P.I. school.
Mlis Body Contour
Mandalyn Academy trains students on body contour treatments. Mlis is a company that has specialized in body contouring for 27 years and Mandalyn Academy is pleased to be associated with them.
Students receive product discounts while in school, and can purchase products at wholesale pricing upon graduation.
Microdermabrasion Machines
Mandalyn Academy believes in training with the best, top of the line, equipment. We use four (4) different in-house Microdermabrasion machines for regular training and services, but students also learn from outside representatives about other equipment in the industry, preparing them to use any ‘micro’ machine in the in the industry

Laser Equipment
By using Syneron’s, eMax, Mandalyn Academy students learn a full range of laser esthetic treatments with one compact system. Treatments include: Skin Resurfacing, Wrinkle Treatments, Hair Removal and Acne treatments. VelaShape (by Syneron) is the first FDA cleared non-invasive medical solution for circumferential and cellulite reduction, and students are privileged to be trained on such high-end, state of the art, equipment.
High Frequency & Galvanic
Galvanic current stimulates using a low level and direct current, and utilizes positive and negative polarities to either draw out impurities or introduce water-soluble treatments products into the skin for ionization and disencrustation. High Frequency current uses a high rate of oscillation and is also referred to as Tesla Current. It is germicidal, drying and healing, and can also be used for relaxation, toning and stimulating effects.
Lamprobe / Hyfrecator
Used for the very effective treatment of Telangiectasia, Cholesterol Deposits, ilia, Cherry Angiomas, Spider Vaevi, Clogged Pores, Skin Tags, Fibromas and Acne Pimples.
Wood Lamp
Used for analyzing the surface layer of the skin, to see imperfections, texture and surface debris. It helps determine the best treatment for you client.
