Admission Process & Requirements
Mandalyn Academy admits students who are serious about their education and goals. We maintain a positive atmosphere that promotes harmony, learning, and success. We know that students come in all personalities and we enjoy the diversity and friendships that are formed.
Enrollment requirements
- Provide proof of age with a Drivers license, Birth Certificate, or Passport.
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Hold and provide evidence of a High School diploma or Grade Transcript, or a General Education diploma (G.E.D.)
- Or pass the Ability-to-Benefit-compass exam. An exam which measures the applicant’s aptitude to successfully complete the program.
- Complete and deliver a Mandalyn Academy application with a $50.00 non-refundable application fee.
- Interview with admissions.
- Receive copy of School Catalog via hand, mail, fax, email, etcetera, with acknowledgement of such included in Enrollment Contract.
- Complete and sign enrollment schedule and Contract.
Ability to Benefit
A student who is beyond the age of compulsory education, lacks a high school diploma or its equivalent, and has the ability to benefit from the education or training offered at Mandalyn Academy. In order to be admitted on the basis of his or her ability to benefit, a student shall, prior to admission, pass the ATB-Acculacer, which measures the applicant’s aptitude to complete successfully the Master Esthetics Program.

High School Students
Mandalyn Academy gladly accepts high school students who are 16 years or older. High School students may receive high school credit while attending our Master Esthetics program. Talk to your High School Counselor, and call us for more information. High school student also receive financial vouchers when attending for High School credits.
Transfer Students
Mandalyn Academy gladly accepts hours from other qualified Cosmetology and Esthetic schools. The following are requirements for the transfer of hours and enrollment:
- A certified transcript of hours and requirements previously completed at a licensed Esthetics institute, and/or Cosmetology school.
- Or a Cosmetology or Esthetician license.
- Meet all standard entrance requirements.
Mandalyn Academy reserves the right to test a transfer student and accept or deny all or a portion of the hours the student is requesting to be transferred.
